How to book an appointment
Step One
Send an email to consular.can@formin.fi with a copy of your passport and/or other photo identity document. Include your contact details, email and phone number.
The Embassy will conduct a quick search of the Population Information System of Finland to determine if other supporting documents are required. We will reply to your email as soon as possible and advise if any other documents are required.
As soon as the Embassy has received copies of all the required documents, we will advise you of this.
Step Two
Pay the passport application fee. Call us on 02 6273 3800 with your payment card details at hand. Payment will be made over the phone. Credit/debit cards accepted (excluding AMEX and Diners)
The passport application fee, including postage, is AUD$230/passport. The fee non-refundable in the case of a negative decision.
If you cannot call us during our phone hours, advise us of a time that we can call you. We are available to call Monday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm and on Fridays from 9am to 2.30pm.
Steps 1 and 2 will need to be completed by Wednesday the 14th of November 2018.
Step Three
You will receive an email from the Embassy upon receipt of all documents and payment of the passport fee. The email will have a link to the online appointment-booking site with which you can choose your appointment day and time.
Step Four
Attend your appointment. Bring a physical passport photo and the originals of all the documents provided via email to your appointment. The Consular specialist must site the original documents before issuing the passport. If the originals are not provided, this may result in a negative decision.
